How is this different from Pendo or Appcues?
We start from a paragraph and AI generates the entire flow, including persona variants and selectors. Pendo and Appcues require you to build each tooltip by hand in their no-code editor. We aim for under 30 minutes from signup to first published flow. Their average is multiple weeks. Pricing also: $99-$899/mo transparent vs. $30K/yr Pendo quotes that need 3 sales calls.
Is there a free tier?
No permanent free tier. Every paid plan includes a 14-day free trial with full access, no credit card required. AI inference costs real money on our side, so we can't sustain a free-forever bucket. The trial is enough time to generate flows for your real product, A/B test one, and see activation lift before you commit.
What does “PM-owned” actually mean?
Engineering installs the script tag once and adds stable data-onboarding attributes to ~5–10 elements (workspace creation, invite button, the activation moment). After that, the PM owns flow creation, copy, persona variants, A/B tests, and publishing. No more tickets for tooltip changes during festival season or peak periods.
How accurate is the AI generation?
On our internal eval against 5 real apps used as test targets (Linear, Notion, Cal.com, PostHog, plus a partner's closed-beta SaaS), the average self-rating is 4.0/5 on a “ship without edits” rubric. Selectors are inferred and self-rated for confidence; the PM verifies anything below 0.85 before publishing. Cold-rater study with Series A–B PMs is in flight. We are not affiliated with those apps and they are not OnboardKit customers.
What about compliance? SOC 2? GDPR?
SOC 2 Type II and EU data residency are on the Q4 2026 roadmap, gated to the Enterprise tier. GDPR-friendly by default: flow content stays client-side; only event metadata (flow_id, step_id, completion timestamps) reaches our servers. Healthcare and fintech buyers, join the Enterprise waitlist and we'll schedule a security review session.
Can I self-host the SDK runtime?
Open-source SDK is on the roadmap, not in beta. The hosted Studio (AI generator, editor, analytics) stays cloud-only. If self-hosting is a procurement requirement, tell us via the Enterprise form and we'll prioritize accordingly.
